Our Therapeutic Services
Our modalities
eclectic approach. What does using an integrative therapeutic approach mean? It
is an approach that uses all the knowledge that the therapist holds about
therapy; all the theoretical approaches and modalities, and applies them in
accordance to their clients unique individual needs. You are complex
and one-of-a-kind, and your therapy should be too. We will focus not
only on your goals and symptom relief, but also on building resilience,
strengthening relationships, fostering personal growth, and helping you connect
with a meaningful sense of purpose
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) explores the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, offering practical tools to create meaningful change. It helps people identify unhelpful thinking patterns, understand how these patterns influence emotions and actions, and develop healthier ways of responding. CBT is typically present-focused and goal-oriented, emphasizing strategies that improve emotional well-being and daily functioning. While traditional CBT follows a structured session format, an integrative approach uses its principles more flexibly, blending them with other therapeutic methods. Common CBT techniques include recognizing cognitive distortions, reframing negative thoughts, and practicing new behaviors that support overall well-being.
Soltion-Focused Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy is an encouraging approach that helps you move toward the life you want. It highlights your strengths, what is working for you, and how to build on those strengths. You have developed skills, resources, and moments of success that we can build on. You and your therapist will work together to imagine what life would look like if things were better, and then figure out small, doable steps to help you get there. You’ll look at times when the problem bothered you less and explore what you were doing then that helped. Solution-Focused Therapy is meant to help you feel hopeful, capable, and in control of your own progress. It focuses on your abilities, your goals, and the positive changes you can start making right now.
Emotion-Focused Therapy
At Harmonious Huckleberry, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) is the primary modality used with couples. The intake structure of EFT is designed to help your therapist truly understand your relationship. In the first session, you will come together and the therapist will get to know you as a couple, then you will meet individually with the therapist one time. These sessions give you space to share your personal history, past experiences, and the ways your background may shape how you show up in your relationship today.
EFT is a grounded, gentle, compassionate method that strengthens your bond, supports couples in rebuilding connection and helps you communicate in ways that allow you to navigate and solve challenges together. EFT finds the patterns that have couples trapped in cycles of hurt emotions, breaks away from the surface level and focuses in on the emotions that occur underneath the little arguments. Couples can learn how to reach for each other when there is stress, respond with care instead of defensiveness, and rebuild trust and closeness. The goal of EFT is not just to solve problems—it’s to strengthen the emotional bond so that the relationship feels more secure, loving, and resilient. We will work with you, slowing down the conflict and focus on the emotions underneath–the needs for safety, closeness, and understanding
Existential Therapy
Existential
therapy has broad benefits. It is especially effective for individuals who: are
facing major life changes and challenges; seeking meaning and purpose; trying
to understand themselves; those who want greater awareness and seek
self-actualization; mid-life crises; persons feeling stuck; and those in
emotional distress looking to explore the big questions in life. Existential therapy can help you understand
yourself and your life, help you make changes to feel more authentic and have a
more fulfilling life, and work towards the life that you want. It is empowering
and honest. Existential therapy is about finding your own way—your choices,
your values, your direction—so you can live with greater clarity and intention.
